Core concepts
Understanding chatbots
Chatbots are interactive tools you can create with your own content.
Like ChatGPT, the bot understands the meaning of your questions and searches for answers.
Unlike ChatGPT, Chatterdocs only uses your content to reply with answers.
Chatterdocs bots are built with a few modular components.
Sources
Examples of sources include PDFs, audio files, RichText, Markdown, webpages, Notion, etc.
We currently have support for PDFs, RichText files, Markdown, audio, website pages, bulk url uploads via CSV, and Notion.
Prompts
The prompt provides guidelines for the bot to provide you with more accurate answers.
Destinations
Desintations are where you interact with the chatbot. For example, Slack, website embed, API, etc.
